Simple Infidelity DNA Testing
Infidelity DNA Testing - Private, Accurate, Confidential Results
Simple Infidelity Test
Do you suspect your spouse of cheating? Have you found suspicious items around the house that don’t belong to you or anyone in your family? An errant undergarment, extra toothbrush, stain on a shirt or bed sheets?
Infidelity can be difficult to prove, but if you need confirmation of evidence for yourself or others, forensic DNA testing is the best way to do so. Our advanced tests work for both male and females, so every philandering girlfriend, boyfriend, husband, or wife can be tested for.
If you need an accurate, fast, and private test for infidelity, this advanced DNA test is for you.
Please see out Infidelity Test Results Page for more detailed information on what to expect from an infidelity test.
The Simple Infidelity DNA test will analyze the special sample(s) sent to our Laboratory for DNA. The results will show if any DNA is found, and if so the test will determine whether the found genetic material belongs to a male, female, or a mix of both and provide a profile of the DNA found.
This test is different from the Advanced Infidelity and Complete Advanced Infidelity Tests as it does not compare reference samples against the special sample submitted.
Additionally we do NOT ship anything to you for this test, you must ship your samples to our laboratory.
What To Do After Ordering Your Test
After ordering you will be contacted by a Validity Genetics representative with additional instructions and the address to send your samples to. Additionally, depending on how many comparison samples you need, a DNA Sample Collection Kit will be mailed to you in order to collect the DNA comparison swab(s) used to test against the Special Sample. Simply follow the instructions in the kit to gather the DNA.
If you already have your comparison samples, place each persons samples in their own envelope (please do not use a plastic or zip-lock bag or mix the samples) labeled with order #, name of person (if applicable), date of collection, and include them with your Special Sample.
You will need to send the Special Sample(s) to our laboratory on your own. Depending on what the Special Sample is we recommend placing it inside a paper bag or envelope, please do not place inside a plastic zip-lock bag. On the outside of the bag/envelope please label the following:
the order number (this will be on your order confirmation),
a brief description of the item,
date of the collection,
approximate age of the sample.

The Special Samples should all be placed inside a box or mailer envelope (plastic is fine) and sent to our laboratory. We highly recommend using a tracked shipping service.
The address to send the Special Sample to is:

What types of items can I use for sample collection?
The most common and helpful sources of a DNA test include things that can help prove a claim of adultery. These include samples like:
Used condom
Toothbrush
Feminine hygiene pads
Blood
Stained Sheets
Underwear and other clothing
Hair
This is not a complete list of sample sources.
Click here for more examples of samples used for DNA testing.
Other samples that might contain DNA include things like gum, dental floss, toothpicks, nail clippings, clothing, head coverings (like hats or bandanas), or any other items from which an expert can extract DNA. Contact us to make sure your sample can be used. An additional fee may be required based upon the type of sample submitted.

Special note about old or degraded DNA samples
Is there an old article of clothing, hairs, or other object you swear aren't yours or your partners? Maybe you hid it somewhere and were planning to use it to confront them. Send it to us to test!
Ultraviolet light, extreme temperature and moisture are the primary destructive agents that lead to the degradation of DNA molecules. But, even if it has been a while since you found a suspicious object, degraded samples may still be useful. Because infidelity testing does not require a detailed profile workup, it’s possible that degraded samples can also be used to make infidelity determinations.

Infidelity DNA Testing:
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Our Simple Infidelity DNA Test includes laboratory DNA extraction and autosomal DNA profiling of the submitted evidence sample.
The laboratory examines the item for recoverable human DNA and attempts to generate DNA profiles from any genetic material found. Results may indicate whether male DNA, female DNA, or a mixture of DNA from multiple individuals is present.
Unlike our Advanced and Complete Infidelity DNA Tests, the Simple Infidelity DNA Test does not include comparison testing against a known person's DNA.
-
Your laboratory report will describe the human DNA profiles recovered from the submitted evidence.
Depending on the quality and quantity of DNA available, results may indicate whether male or female DNA was detected, whether multiple contributors are present, and provide the available STR DNA profile information.
The report does not identify the individuals who contributed the DNA or determine whether the profiles belong to you, your partner, or another person.
You can view examples of Infidelity DNA Test Results to better understand how our laboratory findings are presented.
-
Yes. The Simple Infidelity DNA Test uses autosomal STR analysis, which examines human DNA from both males and females.
Depending on the sample, testing may identify a single DNA profile or a mixture of profiles from multiple contributors.
However, some samples contain insufficient or degraded DNA, and a large amount of DNA from one individual may make a smaller contribution difficult to detect.
If your primary concern is detecting small amounts of male DNA, our specialized Simple Y-STR Infidelity DNA Test may be an appropriate alternative.
-
No DNA test can independently prove that infidelity occurred.
The Simple Infidelity DNA Test can provide information about the human DNA recovered from a suspicious item, including whether male, female, or mixed DNA profiles are present.
However, it cannot determine who deposited the DNA, when it was deposited, or how it came into contact with the item.
If you need to compare the recovered DNA against your own DNA or your partner's DNA, consider our Advanced Infidelity DNA Testing options.
-
Our laboratory can analyze many types of personal items that may contain human DNA, including:
Underwear and other clothing
Bed sheets, pillowcases, and bedding
Clothing or fabrics with suspicious stains
Used condoms
Toothbrushes and personal items
Towels and similar materials
The ability to recover usable DNA depends on the type of item, the amount of biological material present, and how the sample was handled or stored.
Avoid washing or unnecessarily handling the item. Allow damp samples to air-dry completely and package each item separately in a clean paper envelope or bag.
-
Each test provides a different level of laboratory analysis.
Simple Infidelity DNA Test: DNA extraction and profiling to determine what human DNA profiles can be recovered from the submitted evidence. No DNA comparison is included.
Advanced Infidelity DNA Test: DNA extraction, profiling, and comparison against known reference DNA samples.
Complete Infidelity DNA Test: Includes the Advanced testing services plus confirmatory semen detection.
If you want to know what DNA is present without comparing it to a specific individual, the Simple Infidelity DNA Test may be sufficient.
-
Yes. If usable DNA profiles are recovered, additional DNA comparison testing may be available.
For example, you may decide to submit an oral swab from yourself or another known individual to determine whether a recovered DNA profile is consistent with that reference sample.
Additional testing requires a separate fee and depends on the available DNA profiles and whether the laboratory still retains the necessary samples or data.
Contact Validity Genetics as soon as possible if you are considering additional testing, since evidence samples are not retained indefinitely.
-
Standard results are generally available within 5–7 business days after our laboratory receives your sample.
Our laboratory uses established autosomal STR DNA analysis methods to examine recoverable human DNA.
The reliability of the findings depends on the amount, quality, and condition of the DNA present. Samples containing degraded DNA, very small quantities of DNA, or multiple contributors may produce limited or inconclusive results.
No test can guarantee that a usable DNA profile will be recovered from every item.
