The Y-STR (Paternal Lineage) DNA Test is a test to determine if 2 or more males share the same paternal lineage. The Y chromosome is passed from father to son relatively unchanged. By analyzing it we can determine if a male has a common ancestor.

This test is available as a Single DNA Profile. In order to compare two samples you must select the 2 person option.

It is important to note that this test ONLY WORKS on BIOLOGICAL MALES, not females, and only on males of the same paternal line. For example, testing an uncle on the mothers' side would not work.

Our laboratory is fully accredited and ISO certified and we test for 23 STR loci and gender ID markers to ensure the highest quality and accuracy of all DNA results.

Results will be ready in as little as 2 days after our lab has received the samples. The use of special samples may increase the time of testing.
