Forensic Home Grandparent Testing Kit - Special Samples
99.9999% accuracy guaranteed!
Our Informational Forensic Grandparent DNA Test using special samples, such as blood samples, will determine the likelihood that a grandparent is related to a grandchild. This test can provide proof of paternity when a father is unavailable for testing. Our standard test includes testing for one potential grandparent, one known parent 9usually the mother), and one child.
Please note that Forensic Relationship Test cannot be done as a legal test due to chain of custody, if needed for a court case please consult an attorney.
When ordered we will send you instructions on how to care for the forensic or Special Samples* (see instructions below), an oral swabs collection kit (if selected), and instructions on how to gather any additional oral swab samples needed (in cases where the blood or special sample is being tested against another’s DNA). As well as instruction on where to mail the samples (see address below).
Please be aware that due to the nature of forensic testing a conclusive result is not guaranteed. An inconclusive result can be due to many factors. The sample can be too degraded to produce a profile, the sample can be contaminated and a DNA profile cannot be found, there may be no DNA found on the sample, etc. These, and many unlisted reasons, are not grounds for a retest or refund. Please see our Refund Policy for more info.
Our standard Forensic Grandparent 2 Person DNA Test includes testing for:
1 Child
1 Grandparent
Our laboratory is fully accredited and ISO certified and we test for 23 STR loci including gender ID markers to ensure the highest quality and accuracy of all DNA results.

You will need to send the Special Sample(s) to our laboratory on your own. Depending on what the Special Sample is we recommend placing it inside a paper bag or envelope, please do not place inside a plastic zip-lock bag. On the outside of the bag/envelope please label the following:
the order number (this will be on your order confirmation),
a brief description of the item,
date of the collection,
approximate age of the sample.
