Our Sibling DNA Test compares the DNA of alleged siblings to determine one of three possible outcomes:

Full Siblings - Sibling share same parents. Around 50% shared genes.

Half Siblings - Sibling share one common parent.  Around 25% shared genes.

Unrelated - No common parents.

Our standard Sibling 2 Person DNA testing kit includes testing for:

  • 1 Sibling

  • 1 Potential Sibling

    • We always include a known parent in our Sibling DNA Testing at no extra cost. We strongly encourage the inclusion of a known parent to increase the accuracy of the results and to prevent inconclusive results.

Our laboratory is fully AABB accredited and ISO certified and we test for 23 STR loci and gender ID markers to ensure the highest quality and accuracy of all DNA results.

Results will be ready in as little as 2 days after our lab has received the samples.

*We mail our testing kits in discreet unmarked envelopes and may not appear as pictured.

Do you need a second kit sent to a separate address? Do you need us to split a test kit more than two ways?

If you have a family member in another city or state participating in the DNA test we can send an additional test kit to them to complete. Select this option with your order and we send an additional DNA sample collection kit to a second or third address.

Contact us and we can have this option added multiple times for each person/address needed to be included in the test.

WHAT KIND OF SAMPLES DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?

We primarily use simple oral buccal swabs (cheek cell collection) to collect samples for our quick easy home and legal DNA tests.

Validity Genetics can test from a variety of other types of samples. However, in these cases an extra fee may apply as well as a possible longer turnaround time for sample processing.

How fast can I get my results?

Validity Genetics offers a quick turnaround time of only two business days once received at the lab for all of our standard buccal swab DNA collection tests. We also have rush options available if needed (may not available on some special sample types such as Infidelity Testing).

How accurate are the tests?

Our procedures test for 22 genetic markers and the gender identification marker amelogenin. This ensures you receive 99.99% accurate test results.

A general principle for DNA testing is that the more genetic information available, the greater the precision of the test.
